After working with companies of all sizes, it was determined that the smaller ones had plenty of agents to work with, since their needs were not very complicated. The very large companies also had plenty of brokers, as this was the focus of the large consulting firms. Yet, it was the midsized employers where there was clearly a void. Although their needs had become complicated as well, the smaller agents did not have the expertise, and the best available talent at the larger firms worked on the big companies, leaving the least capable staff to help the midsize employer, while still charging the big consultant fees. In addition, the typical midsize employers do not have the resources to add Employee Benefit Specialists to their staff, like most large employers do.
The realization of this gave birth to the RPO Group. Our purpose is to bring the same high level of experience and expertise, but solely focused on this employer size. We strive to know as much as possible about our client’s operations. We know that there is definitely not a “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to Employee Benefit packages. A lot of our attention is geared toward helping get to the ideal balance between the financial controls of the company, matched with the Human Resource objectives. We are very familiar with both roles and know how important it is for our clients to get to that goal.
Additionally, since our clients typically have staffing limitations that can be assigned to their Employee Benefit programs, we are sensitive to the fact that we need to provide a far more hands-on level of assistance than is typical of the larger companies.
